Apart from catering to numerous patients at his hospital, Dr Shyam Agrawal believes in never limiting his expertise to a specific region. Dr Shyam Agrawal extends his exemplary services to the society by organising free eye camps, and giving treatment and doing eye surgeries free of cost. Places like Vatsalyagram in Mathura, Dungarpur in Rajasthan, at Dr. Hegdewar Hospital in Aurangabad, Jhawar and Talasari (R.S.S & V.H.P Seva Prakalp) and Dadari in Uttar Pradesh. He has conducted free camps at Dhuliya, Jalgaon & Ahmednagar. Also at Surajgadh and Sikar in Rajasthan, in Vapi –Gujrat and in Kota – Rajasthan at Bharat Vikas Parishad Hospital and at many other tribal areas of Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Every year 6-7 times the entire Agrawal Eye Hospital team visits Vatsalyagram, to conduct free operations and eye checkups. The number goes up to as high as 300 to 350 operations per camp.
At Dungarpur which is in Rajasthan once or twice in a year free eye camps are organised by him. In a village situated around 15-20 kilometers away from the city in a small remote area where medical facilities are limited he and his team go and provide their free services. Around 150 cataract surgeries are perfomed free of cost in every camp.
He is Chairman and Trustee of Swami Vivekanand School which has strength of 4000 students. This school is situated in slums of Appapada, Kurar, Malad, Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Trustee and Chairman of Vatsalya Gram, Vriandavan, Mathura. Vatsalya Gram is a complex spread over 50 acres land given by U.P. Government, where Orphans, Widows and Old People are given shelter under guidance of Sadhvi Ritumbhara – Didi-Maa.
